Business Dilemma

• The client maintained more than 800 servers on a wide variety of operating systems, some versions of which were no longer being supported. They also were being charged a quarterly upgrade service plan per server and wanted to reduce overhead, consolidate to fewer operating systems and standardize infrastructure.
• More than 50 servers needed to be retired. This would allow the client to save on upgrade contracts, and realize greater uptime and efficiency due to standardization.
• In addition, the client wanted to fully document their entire network infrastructure, applications, and technical and support staff status in order to update their infrastructure matrix and upgrade coverage.

• We brought in several highly skilled Microsoft-certified professionals to meet with server engineers, end users, senior management, application vendors and analysts to determine the full range of client needs. After a proposal was submitted and approved by the client, the Microsoft-certified professionals began implementation of the proposed IT endeavors.
• Robert Half Technology consultants assisted in facilitating the retirement and replacement of the obsolete servers. The team also helped update, consolidate and/or migrate the client's applications and data, all while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
